At Ear Care Clinic by Chelsey, we provide comprehensive ear assessments and ear wax removal services for adults in a professional private clinic setting. Care is tailored to each individual, with referrals back to your physician or nurse practitioner when concerns fall outside the scope of nursing practice.

Important Information

Ear Care Clinic by Chelsey is a private, fee-for-service nursing practice. Services are not covered by Saskatchewan Health and payment is required at the time of service.

Accepted payment methods include debit, credit, and e-transfer. A receipt will be provided following your appointment

Ear Health Assessment

Every appointment begins with a thorough assessment of your ears.

This includes:

  • Health history review

  • Discussion of symptoms and concerns

  • Otoscopic examination of the ear canal and eardrum

  • Determination of the most appropriate treatment approach

Ideal for individuals experiencing:

  • Ear fullness or pressure

  • Muffled hearing

  • Excess ear wax

  • Itching or discomfort

  • Ringing in the ears

  • Hearing aid or earplug users

What to Expect

Ear Wax (Cerumen) Removal

Using assessment findings, ear wax may be removed using one or more evidence-informed techniques within nursing scope.

Methods may include:

  • Irrigation

  • Curettage (manual removal)

  • Pre-treatment ear softening agents when indicated

Treatment is individualized based on the amount, consistency, and location of ear wax.

Follow-Up Care & Education

Following treatment, you will receive:

  • Findings from your assessment

  • Ear health education

  • Prevention tips

  • Recommendations for ongoing care

  • Referral recommendations when appropriate

When to Seek Medical Care

Please seek medical attention if you are experiencing:

  • Sudden hearing loss

  • Ear drainage

  • Significant ear pain

  • Ear injury or trauma

  • Suspected infection

These concerns require medical assessment and may fall outside the scope of this service.

One Ear

Assessment and treatment of both ears. Includes a health history review, otoscopic examination of both ears, ear wax removal when indicated, and education regarding ongoing ear health and care. 30 Minutes

In Clinic: $155

Mobile/Facility: $185

Both Ears

Certain cerumen impactions require extended clinical time, multiple treatment methods, or a staged approach to ensure safe and effective removal. 30+ Minutes

The initial Difficult / Impacted Cerumen Removal appointment is $185 (in clinic) or $215 (mobile/facility). If additional treatment is clinically necessary to complete removal of the same impaction, follow-up appointments are charged at a reduced rate of $95 per visit for in-clinic appointments or $125 per visit for mobile/facility appointments.

Difficult/Impacted Removal

Includes a health history review, ear examination, assessment findings, education, and recommendations. Applicable when ear wax removal is not performed due to clinical considerations, insufficient cerumen, or patient preference. Not available for booking. Charged only when cerumen removal is not performed during the appointment. 15 minutes. Not available for booking.

Mobile/Facility: $80

Assessment & Consultation Only

Group Booking Discount: When three or more individuals are booked at the same facility on the same day, the mobile travel fee is waived, and all appointments are billed at our standard in-clinic pricing.

Facility/Mobile Visits

Facility/mobile-based appointments are available for:

  • Long-term care homes

  • Assisted living facilities

  • Senior residences

  • Group living environments

  • Individuals who are unable to leave their homes due to mobility concerns
